:bigsmile:hello, I have been finding some alage on my sand, its brownish green, it is on the glass under the sand and a bit on top of it. There are also some tunnels dug under there, which usually arnt there much at night, making me assume whatever has been creating them is nocturnal. heres the pics, please help, im just checking up on this to figure out how to control the alage and to learn about the tunnels and their creators. Thanks!

i have seen some bristleworms in the sand as well as some kinda pods that are the size of a grain of rice... im thinking they might be some of the culprits, or do they only live in the pores of the live rock, thx again

Not tryin to be a smart *** but what do you have as far as powerheads go? My sand does that if my powerhead is pointed at the sand or the glass! Maybe the flow from your powerhead is moving around the rock and pushing the sand around! Just a thought.

Oh and you just setup you tank not to long ago right? The algea is just something that come with a new setup! Cleanup crew and flow will be your best friends, and help with algea issue! Good luck!

well i know your not trying to be a smartie, thx for the help though :)
my power head is moving sand in the tank a bit, its pointed at the glass, but the sand where this is dosnt move, it is growing alage on top of it, mabe there is a dead flow space right there....
and yeah i guess i just need some cleanup crew... mine is lacking, anyway thanks for your insight, keep reefin :)

How old is your tank? Looks like you sandbed is starting to become live. Expect to see a lot more things and colors to develop pretty quickly.
