icecap 660

I just got in my new icecap 660-009 ballasts. Am I correct in thinking that I must attach a power cord to the appropriate wires from the plastic wire plug. Can I use the plug from my Universal AccuStart ballast? I currently have my 3 t5 ballast on my coralife dual power center timer. Would this be fine to use with my icecaps? By the way the icecaps with be overdriving the bulbs.

I also plan on using a clip on fan from walmart to cool the bulbs down. Right now I have 2 computer fans, but they don't seem to push enough air. Any problems using this type of fan?
