chromis are crazy

I have just bought 6 chromis, and after the last few days, one of them is establishing themselves as the dominant fish. It is started to chase around and bite and injure the other chromis! What do I do?? As of right now, I have isolated him to a bucket. I will put him back later. So, to prevent this again, should I add more chromis??? Maybe like 6 more?

What size tank do you have? I usually have tried to limit mine to no more than 3 in a 90 gallon tank. My trio still has a dominant fish, but the others have room to run and around and hide from him.

2 years ago I started with 9 & now there are 6 left. They pretty much leave each other alone.

15 months ago I started with 13 and have 9, no fighting amongst them. They are in my 214 gal.

I started with 14 and am down to 12 due to pump related fatalities. They seem to do well in large groups.
