I know some wrasse species can't get along in the same tank.

Can a Six line wrasse and a Clown Fairy wrasse get along in a 55g tank?

We have one of each in our 210g and they do just fine together, but I don't know about about a 55g... might up the territorial behaviors. If you decide to try it, then I'd suggest introducing them together (at the same time) so that neither has the home team advantage.

Good luck.

I had the urge to "redecorate" and I will be putting them in together.

Thanks for the advice!

i believe christy told me not to add the same genuses together. so if i had a yellow coris wrasse i couldnt add a christmas wrasse because theyre too similar and would fight. you can add 1 fairy wrasse, and 1 flasher wrasse, and other types of wrasses as long as theyre not the same genus

your flasher wrasses and fairy wrasses dont need a sandbed, while the rest do

from what i hear about sixlines, they can become aggressive towards other tankmates, but im not sure if its true

right now i have a yellow coris wrasse and a possum wrasse and they ignore each other even as they swim past each other. ill be adding a flasher and fairy in the future

Sixlines generally don't get along with fairies. I have a Fourline which is the same species as the Sixline that would kill any fairy or flasher I added to my 240g. I removed him from my display and kept him in my sump for about 2-3 months. As soon as I removed him I added several fairies and let them become established and then placed the Fourline back into the display. This worked really well but he still bullies my smallest fairy every once in a while.
