I've been in the marine hobby for less than a year now, with a 30g fowlr. I'm making plans to do corals, and I'm wondering if any of you in San Antonio would mind showing me your reef tank setups sometime. I haven't really seen many marine tanks besides pics on the internet and LFS; and I would like to see how some of these setups really look in person.

Send us a pm and we will find a time, etc. if you are interested in seeing a tank that is primarily soft corals and LPS, only a couple of SPS. Weekends are best for us.

I remember when we were brand new (still feel pretty new at this in the big picture) I was dying to see some reefs, so I like to be able to show ours now. I would look for stuff in the for sale forum just to get the chance to see their tanks.

My Wife and I were overwhelmed by the thought of having a saltwater tank. We purchased a small 20gal and in 6 mo. (and with the help of many people on MAAST) we have recently upgraded to a 125gal. We have had the opportunity to see many tanks when we purchased or traded frags. There are also many people on here who help out with their knowledge, advice and occasionally and free frag here or there.

So far it has been a great experience.

Thanks for all the responses. I'll have to start making plans for visits soon. I also wanted to add that if anyone thought i wouldn't be interested in seeing their reef tank just because it's small, you're wrong. I'm very interested in seeing small reef setups as well because my tank is only 30g and I'm not allowed to get a larger tank while I live on the 3rd floor in an apartment (my wife's rule, which I regretfully agree with, steep stairs, somewhat rickety-unlevel-old-floor, etc). So it will probably be a couple years before I can consider upgrading in size, so i want to get the most I can out of the tank I already have.

My 20 gallon is available for viewing. Just catch me when I'm not on shift. I'm over close to Ingram@410.
