Vlamingi Tang

I bought a 55g complete set up about 2 months ago and just got a positve identification on the tang that came with it. I have a 3.5 in Vlamingi tang. How fast do they grow? I know that they can get up to 24 inches long. Do I need to find a new home soon or will it be ok for a while in a 55g?

Probably faster than you'd like. I had a Sohal go from ~3" to ~12" in two years. I ruled out putting a Vlamingi in my 180g for that reason. Cool fish though.
