I'm pretty sure this is not the place for this question; but I couldn't find the answer anywhere else. And it's been several weeks since I submitted a couple "contact us" messages without reply, so here goes:

I can't start a thread or reply on a thread in several of the forums. for-sale, wanted, photography that I know of. I get a restricted-access type message, with no explanation. A couple of months ago I had sold and/or replied/bought stuff in the forums.

Is this the result of all the website hacking? or has a new restriction been put on web-members? If so, why can't I find and explanation? I would think it would be on the FAQs, or Forum rules, or member-join area.
Or better yet, a link on the page that tells me I'm restricted from that action.

BTW, I am seriously considering becomming a charter member, but since it looks to be a few months before a Saturday meeting (Sundays don't work for me, hope their is a fair share of meetings not on Sunday) I would like to attend and get to know some of the group better first before deciding.

becoming a charter member will give you access to these forums, otherwise you will need to reach a 50 post minimum before you are allowed access as a web member.

Thanks for clarification. So this would be a "new" restriction then. Sounds fair to me. Is there a list of the restricted/non-restricted forums? Or Just find out as I go along?

Assuming all the for-sale/wanted forums. and apparently the photography. what else?

yes, it is a new rule. the 50 post minimum is the sale forums only

i believe posting in photography is strictly charter members only
