we apologize for the downtime as of late

it appears that script kiddies have made this site a target

the first as brian posted was a 15 yo kid from vietnam, the most recent is someone coming in from the african continent

it appears they came in through the 2 image upload programs we use. one is for the tank of the month entries and the other is the member gallery feature. until we can lock these down 100% they have been temporarily turned off.

once again we apologize for the inconvenience. we are working hard on trying to get the site backup, stable, and secure.

Seems even after you turned off the second upload program it still got hacked. I got a nasty black screen with some kind of red spider or scorpion and a message. I don't quite understand anyone getting their kicks by hacking into this public website. Other than being annoying, what do they get out of it?

No, right now I'd have better luck coughing up a lung then sparing $50. I don't see how this website could rank up there on the hacker scale.
