hacked [Archive] - MAAST Forums

Hello, I got an email from adm. here at maast, telling me that my maast account has been hacked, yeah a fish hacker, what a tool :)

anyway now I can't use the short cuts, I got to use the lower drop down menu to access anything, so yeah the tool hack work, still a tool

so is there anything I need to do, or you guys are on it?

They got in on a VB hole that has been fixed. They changed their account to an admin account and changed the forum home and shut down the vb engine but other than that they did nothing.

Hey, for anyone that is having trouble posting since the hack. Be sure to log out, refresh browser window, then log back in. I was unable to post or use PMs until doing so.

Thanks to the volunteers who worked on fixing this so quickly. MAAST withdrawals are an ugly thing to watch!! ; )

How bored does someone have to be to hack a reef site?

Yeah, it was weird this morning when I opend the site. It looked normal on the home page, but then when I clicked on the forums, it suddenly closed to a smaller window and then started floating around doing circles on the screen. Very strange. Glad it's fixed and no serious damage seems to be done.

Fortunately, my Junk email scanner quantined this Hack email for me.Thanks to all who helped take care of this issue.

The pages seem very slow to load. I've tried clearing all cookies, history, logged on and off a few times, but the pages take forever to load and keep jamming up. Any ideas about this? Other sites load instantly. I still think the site is buggy.

Stupid hacker strikes again! Clicking on "MAAST forums" takes you to hacker's page. The only way to get onto the forums is to go through a sub-forum.

What is up with this stupid hacker? I'm thinking it's the work of some pre-teen that had a traumatic ocean incident. Maybe in the water, some seaweed wrapped around their leg and they screamed like a girl. Or Mommy never let them hang out at the beach with with friends. Or maybe a frustrated aquarist who has never been able to get past keeping bettas.

Anyway, listen hack3r, go take your mad skillz somewhere else. Go hackorez something worthwhile, noble, even, take down some pedophile site or site that supports dog fighting or something.
