Ace tried building a tank with black silicone. Be careful, as he found it is NOT as strong.

oh wow really? i saw a tank build on RC in the nano forum where they used it for a rimless tank. i havent seen them fill the tank up yet though

Try posting the same question on ReefCentral. I'm not too familiar with the black colored silicone but I do know certain tank manufactures use specific types of black silicone on their tanks. Some are proprietary I believe....which may make it harder to aquire.
