The chiller is an Aqualogic drop in, so the coil is in the sump already. I have searched Aqualogic's site (since I have no manual) but have not found the answer - maybe it's there, just haven't found it.
Where do you put the temperature probe from the controller? In the sump? In the main tank?
Thanks for the help.

Ed, I mailed the papers to you a while back. I wonder why you didn't get it, and I have not received them back:confused:
anyway, you can pretty much place it anywhere is convenient for you. just not right after the coil.. I had it placed in the overflow where the water returns from the tank
hope that helps

It does need to be in the tank somewhere, the overflow would be the least intrusive. You are trying to cool the tank water not the sump water.

I agree, however i ran this chiller for two years with the probe in the sump with not a single issue

Thanks Mike and Steve!
I'll put it in the overflow.
Mike,
No biggie on the paperwork. With our mail service, there is no telling, I did d/l and print what was available on the website, but it didn't explain probe placement.
