Thought I would finally get a few pictures of the few reptiles I also keep.
First is 2 of the trio of African spur-thighed tortoises.
Second is the female of the pair of Sunglow boa constictors.
Third is 1 of 4 Radiated Tortoises.

i had spur thighed tortoises as a kid....had them for 10 years until a rat got into the box they were hibernating in :(

Very cool, Im a big herp fan to. I have a male Sulcata named Lou that weighs approx 25lbs.

I feed mostly dark greens (kale, collard, mustard, spinach,etc.). The food in picture I do about once a week(not dog food, bad idea). It is Mazuri Tortoise Chow. Can order it through feed stores.

Ive seen it a Lockhill Feed store on Huebner near I-10. My Sulcata is on a Diet of 90% Bermuda grass and Hay and the occasional dark green and fruit. Except winter when hes in the garage then he eats green for a 2-3 months. Where the come from the land is arid so all the pretty much have to eat is wild grasses with slim to none water or mositure.

Will only find them from breeders, several around country. A little pricey, though.

Look at www.kingsnake.com (http://www.kingsnake.com), under classifieds look under boa constrictors for "Sunglow Boas".

The snakes colors are amazing. Crazy what breeders can do now days. DrMark how did the snakes handle shipping? Ive known about kingsnake.com for a while but have been hesitant about buying simply because I have not met anyone that purchased from any of the stores, but you seem to have been successful.

Over the years, I have bought and sold things via Kingsnake. Big packages usually done airfreight collect. Smaller packages much like we are used to with fish/corals......overnight by FedEx or USPS, never a problem. I have greatly minimized my Herp collection over the years down to what I showed above. I will breed the sunglows in next year or two. I have successfully bred Burmese pythons, boa constrictors, blue tongue skinks, various milk snakes and kingsnakes, leopard geckos, fat-tail geckos, knobtail geckos.

Although it has been a while, I only bought from specific breeders, some private, some commercial. Never bought livestock from a store. Good private breeders like Bob Clark, Brian Sharp come to mind.

Thanks for the info. Looks like you have been in herps for a while. Ive never attempted to breed myself, but I will keep an eye out to see if you ever post any herps for sale.
