Now this is Not for someone wanting something that looks Kickbutt, but rather someone just wanting the Functionality and Not wanting to spend the money. This would Go in your Sump and its decently small but still holds quite a bit of media. Functionality baby!

Well, I made one, But my flow through it seems decent but not rolling the media like in the original concept. Maybe I need a Little more flow? In a regular media reactor does the media roll inside of it? Or does it just flow it through it. I have it about Half full. I cost me about $18 for materials, but I had to buy more tubing anyway so I bought a decent size roll of clear tubing($8) So really Usually you will have a small peice laying around but not in my case. It works, But I ran it to rinse it for over 20 mins before putting in the setup but it still made it foggy in the tank for a few hours, due to the banging of the media for the first day. Ill get some pics in the next few days, I just dont have the time to do it right now, and its in an area hard to see/take out of sump(limited space in sump area) It does work though!

Interesting idea....

...but for only $38 you can get a TLF Phosban Reactor. It would hold up better in the long run.

How do you figure? If you break the bottle, Gatorade Bottles are free if you drink gatorade.... Everything else used can break just like a TLF brand or whatever brand. Like the Pumps, tubing, so forth. The bottle is probably MORE durable than the Acrylic used on Media reactors. Just my Opinion.

You can get an Ace made reactor from around this community for 25-30 bucks, and it is way better than either of these solutions. Much larger, and extremely sturdy. I bought 2 recently from a member who had the sitting around.
