This isn't the first time my fighting conch has climbed the glass. My question is.. has your fighting conch ever done this or is this a really odd conch? :photo:

Mine never has, when I got it from Drew it buried itself and I hadn't seen it until yesterday when I took all of my rockwork out and combed through the sand with my fingers. How deep is your sandbed?

2 inches in some areas of the tank and in other areas 3 or 4 inches. He/She has done this a few times since we bought it months ago. I can't remember when we bought them but we got them from darby's tropicals. We have two, the other one stays in the sand. I guess he thought the algae on the glass looked more tasty or he is into cliff climbing..:p

Are you sure it's a fighting conch and not a cliff diving conch? I love conchs, they are so odd.

yeah I like these conchs..this ones shell is almost 3" long..That has got to be difficult to drag that heavy shell up the glass. I guess you could call it a cliff diver. He fell off the glass shortly after we took the picture. The conch landed on its shell, quickly flipped itself over and went back into the sand. lol

I guess my conch is really odd then, I just had to share this with you guys. Even if its uncommon or common for a conch to do this..it is still funny.

I love these critters for keeping my sand be stirred up. I guess this one is the very rare silicone cleaning conch. You could probably make a pretty penny to breed them and sale them on ebay.

I love conchs. They have to be one of the only snails with personalities. Mine has never climbed the glass either. :)

You should play eye of the tiger, video it and post it on youtube. That would classify you as a super nerd:nerd:

:)

I hope that song gets stuck in everyone's head for the day. :p

Sing Along.....

Chorus:
It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger

Erik you Rock! LOL!
