What to do what to do?

I have a flame hawk that i think is awsome because of his personality but i want to get a pair of harlequin shrimp, i know that the hawk will eat the shrimp so its either the hawk or the shrimp. What should i do?

My hawk has left both of my harlequins alone. YMMV (your mileage may vary).

Save the harlequin for a nano...

The flame hawk was by far my most favorite fish! Awesome little creature. Followed me around like a dog whenever I walked past my tank.

Harlequins are pretty cool. I saw a show the other day talking about the problem of the Crown of Thorns starfish and how they sprout up, killing off entire reefs. They showed one of the starfish being tag teamed by a pair of Harlequins who are one of its few natural predators.

I think like Bill said, the hawk might leave them alone or it might eat them, you never know. I'd go with the nano setup just for them like Lonestar mentioned. That way they have their own showcase and you can still keep your hawk fish happy in it's tank.

LOVE my flame hawk. The picture on our avatar is of our flame hawk perched on my hand. He would sit on my hand and arm while I was in the tank feeding. Such an awesome fish!

That one jumped out of a tiny opening in the back of our tank, sadly. We have another now and he is cool, but not like the one we first had.
