This one is an easy mod, and it's from the CPR website. Works GREAT on mine on my 55 - I get about 3X as much skimmate as before. Took about 2 minutes to mod.

So...where does the pump get placed? it will still produce some flow??? what should the length of the airline tube be and i am guessing it just stays open on the other end??

Pump goes in the same place, airline tubing is the same tubing you are using. You just need to drill a hole and put a nub on the pump. I used one of the fittings you get in the box from one of the many small powerheads I have, just cut off the nub and superglued it in place.

Well, actually, the MJ mod works MUCH better than the original Rio did. I'd go with the mod before the venturi.
