okay i only have 2 questions. I have the solenoid thing for the co2 tank and it came with two guaskets. one was a small rubbery one, and the other one is a bigger one that is plastic. do they both go in the connector?

also, y does it have a plug? is that controlled my a pH controller? so if i dont have one, i dont need it connected?

one last thing, does the co2 enter through the bottom of the bubble counter then upwards?

Pics. would help and you have more than 2 questions(J/K). I will answer some and somebody else will chime in. The big gasket will go from the regulator to the co2 tank i don't remember about the small one. The plug will go to your PH monitor/controller which will tell your seloinod when to open and close . Mine c02 tubing go on top of the bubble counter. It will help if you have the PH monitor/controller, so you can read the effleunt PH and fast reading the display too.

A photo will help on your gaskett questions...to determine what they look like. From there we can figure out where they go.

The plug is used to give power to open up the solenoid. Once the solenoid is powered, it will open up the valve allowing CO2 to start flowing. When using a CO2 controller, the controller will determine when to start adding or stopping CO2 from entering the reactor. This will be determined by your effluent reading from your reactor. If you do not use a controller (which a good amout of reefers don't), you can leave it plugged in all the time. If you have a good regulator that has a precise needle valve, you can adjust the right amount of CO2 needed to match what your tank needs from your reactor.

The bubbles should enter a hose the goes to the bottom of the the bubble counter. They then float upwards through the solution, allowing you to see how many bubbles are entering the CO2 line going to your reactor.

okay so the seller says that it should already have the rings in the co2 regulator. so the small one is in there, im not sure if the other one was connected to the tank, but i already took the tank to get it filled up and didnt check to see. he said that what i have are extras.

also said that i should setup the reactor now without co2 and get familiar with it--- that it needs to run 24hrs to expell all the air out of it before running co2 through it
