Hello,
okay so here we have our tank settled and everything going great. We currently have 4 big mexican turbo snails in our tank along with some crabs, soft corals & much more,
Well I was cleaning the glass with a magnet when i noticed tiny minuatures of the turbo snail all stuck on the glass as if they were already doing their job with cleaning..
My question is do they breed easy? Is this a good thing that I have this many now.. There are about 15 little babies doing their cleaning duties.:) I would think this means extra clean glass but I just want to make sure.. :)
please let me know what you think!

If they are little turbos, that's cool! The only problem I see is that with so many you might, eventually, run out of algae for all of them and they might start starving to death.

If they dont have enough algae they will die and it will nasty for your tank.

i feed my hermits and snails those dried algea flakes that are 3x4 in leangth. just tie it to a snall rock and in 5 minuits all of your hermis and snails will be all over... i do it like once a month since i dont have really any algea.unless you have fish that will eat it first:lmao2:. you'd think my tang would eat it, but he alwase spits it out, its like its to hard for him to swallow. idk maby when he getts bigger

Thanks for your words! We will be moving up in the next month or so to a 125 gal. Hopefully with that much room they wont starve. Even then if its still too many, we might just sell'em for $1 each or give them away... But we will see thanks again

one thing to look for is little white mucuos bubble strands, those are snails eggs. and in a week youll see little snials like you are now. I only say this so you dont destroy them, I did at first until I found out what they where

Do they look like these? http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1414432&highlight=stomatella
If so, they are still good and are very common as hitchhikers and reproduce quickly. They are colonista's.

I have had this happen before but dont remember any of them growing big. Seems like they either make meals for fish or crabs. I am sure some could make it, I would watch and see what their numbers do. They might not be around too long.
