Anybody seen this tank? I've seen it for sale a couple time and I just can't figure how this would work or why you would use this set up.

It is supposed to be 130 gallons. So, with 7 compartments they are around 20 gallons each (some bigger, some smaller).

What would YOU use it for? How would YOU plumb it?

Tank for a store? to keep livestock separate?

Sump / fuge with all the different chambers???

Frag tank????

Definitely not a display of any sort....looks cool...but don't know how functional it would be with it sloping down towards the middle...but I do not have a creative mind for this...

So, the only place that would take an overflow is the middle, lowest tank, right? Flow would require a powerhead in each compartment, right?

Says it is drilled, two in the middle, one at each end.

Yes, I'm getting ready for soccer. Will be heading that way shortly. :)

Great for breeding clowns or seahorses.

That looks like a tank that was at Austin Aquariums a while back, it was used to house freshwater plants. The water was fed to the two upper conpartments and drained through the lower middle tank, it was lit by halides and actually looked very cool!

It looks like a holding tank for plants for freshwater. I sold a store a very similiar setup for plants. JimD has it right if thats what it is.

Yeah, that would be a cool tank for a store or someone that had a setup for breeding some kind of livestock. If it's all glass and the partitions are just siliconed in place, you could maybe try to remove the silicone and some of the petitions to make larger spaces or one big tank. Only issue with trying to make one big tank is that since it has no bracing along the top the partitions are also helping to keep the front and back in place due to the overall length of the tank (looks like about 6feet?).

Maybe pull out two of the partitions on each end to make two mid sized tanks with the center section and overflow and fuge area? That would be cool, maybe have some mangroves growing out of the center.

Personally I would breed rare cichlids with it. I use to breed cichlids and sold on ebay for a couple of years which is how I supported my saltwater addiction. Local stores also give store credit for cichlids. I would have atleast 100-200 ready every couple of weeks that were atleast 1-2 inches.

The idea of having the sump/fuge in the middle is interesting. If you could run all the plumbing behind and very close to the back. Keep it really clean.

LOL, while I was thinking of ideas for it, I started to want to buy it! I think it would be cool as an island or room divider tank. Unfortunately I don't have a place for either type setup.

I wanted to see if I could make water fall down each level. it would be awsome to run the pump in the middle and re-intruduce on each end. It would be cool to grow water plants.

I would make it a awesome clam display. Place a huge clam in each tank with a bell pendand over each. I woud be really cool and modern looking. Id drill the center tank for a drain and put lots of Saltwater plants and some of the better looking macro in it for filtration.

it would make a great display for a collection of mantis shrimp!
