This is the TOTM in Kansas City's local forum....it is a bare bottom, check out the encrusting monties at the bottom of the tank. I thought it was pretty cool and thought I would share.

Pretty neat how the corals are encrusting to the bottom of the tank...which is really the only thing I like about bare bottoms.

No sand Joel, it is a bare bottom tank....that is all coraline algae and whatever else encrusted on the bottom pane of glass...
