I am buying this tank as a complete system from another MAAST member this week. My original intention was to set this up as a reef tank, along with my new 75G RR. But, my two small sons are constantly asking me to buy a Puffer, so I thought i would set up a FOWLR for them. So, I was hoping to connect with some fellow MAAST members that currently have a FOWLR, for advice, questions, etc. So, anyone willing to post up would be appreciated.

cool another FOWLR, let the saving beggins...ok relative savings :)
you only need the return pump, some lights and a skimmer, since this is a fish only, you dont need MH, some T-5s or a regular cheap light will do, fish need light to see thats it.
the rock work has to have some caves or over hangs for the fish to chill under, pleanty of swimming room and the most important part is the fish compatability, you said a puffer is what your kiddos want, what kind of puffer, work around that.
If you want to take a look at my set up give me a call 3.9.3.3.8.3.5, and bring your kids

Cool, I'm in Converse, so I may just take you up on that visit. The cool thing about the set-up I'm getting is that it is complete. All I need to do is set up the inhabitants. It has a MH light right now, so I'll probably keep that for while. Yeah, they want a puffer, but I thought i would have several predator type fish in there so they could watch live feedings and stuff. What do you think?

ahhh a predator tank :)
yes boys love to see the fish get eaten by other fish, it's a guy thing :)
well sometimes you can keep some zoos of softies, but you never know, one of your fish may wake up one morning and after a year descide he is going to eat every softie in your tank just because :(
I know you already have the MH, but trully is totally not needed, waste of money IMHO, try to sell it here or trade it for some T-5, less money you'll spend with GVEC.
just drop me a call anytime, will talk fish :)

Yeah, I will change lights as soon as the MRS is over this purchase, if you know what I mean. I don't want to spend more on electricity than I have to. I'll give you a call in the next week or so, and I'll bring the boys to see your set up. Nice to know your here to help.
