Slowly putting the plan together for the next tank.
115gal with approx 40gal sump/fuge.

Looking for choices for the submersible return pump.
I will also be Tee-ing off to ball-valve to supply the return for a small 20 gal frag tank.
Head height is about 60 inches.

Any thoughts??

thanks

Consider the Eheim 1262 (900gph). Very reliable. More energy efficient than a Mag pump and will handle head pressure better too. HTH.

What are the thoughts on plumbing a chiller in this situation........with the main pump providing the return to main tank and the frag tank.
Seperate pump and circuit? Another Tee and ball valve to chiller? Not sure it feels right running main tank, frag tank, and chiller from the one pump but doable.

That would be asking an awful lot from one 900gph pump. Perhaps another Eheim pump dedicated to the chiller and matched to the chillers recommended gph throughput.

If you really want to run everything on one pump, I would suggest an external with a much higher gph - Dolphin, Sequence, Iwaki, etc.

Think that will be the plan, wasnt sure if it was doable with a Mag 12 or 18. Doesnt seem the best idea trying to run three things off the one pump.....
