Does anyone have one of these? How has this brand worked for you. Is the Internal Half Magnet of Floating or Non-Floating Type. Thanks in Advance - Alex

I have a 6 ER. Is great. Can get a brush and new pads direct from magnavore. Internal does not float.

My Manavore 6 ER Internal Floats. The kit comes with a thin black foam stick on pad to help it float. Without it the internal cleaner will barely float, but it should float.

Also, the magnet is (in a Derek Zoolander voice) really really ridiculously strong. They cost a pretty penny ,but It has to be One of the Best Magnetic glass\acrylic cleaners out there. I like mine very much.

BTW: Don't pick up any gravel\aragonite in the internal side or you will scratch up your glass\acrylic....

That tip should be on a beginner's list somewhere, as I had to learn it the hard way!

I had to check......and the 6 ER does (barely) float.
I also have a 55 G magnavore on the anothe tank that doesnt have the foam pad and it floats also.
I had always been so careful to not drop them.......

Thanks for the responses. I have a Great White algae cleaner which works great but I have a problem with the Internal half Magnet not being able to float. I didn't think much of it when I purchased it because the main purpose was to clean the glass. Little did I know how important it is to get a " Floating Internal Half Magnet ".

Yes the Great White is the only claner out of the Algeafree cleaners that do not float.

I'm pretty sure you could find some of that black foam and just superglue it to the internal NON Floating part. Then Shazzam.... it floats.... maybe?

Alex:
I also have the 6ER. I just stuck the black foam sheet to the back of the inside piece and it floats great. Works great to clean the glass.

When I bought my 6 ER at my LFS I asked what the black foam was for. After asking 6 people (Employees at the LFS and customers) and 15 minutes of everyone being clueless, I decided to brain storm by myself. Thats when it hit me that the black foam floats very well and the magnet not so much. Sticky Black Foam, Hmmmm, Ding "light bulb".... ohhhhh.
