I have the original frag of superman monti that I had bought from zoafrag.com It has started to encrust on the rock I want it on, so I broke the original frag off and am willing to sell it. It is about 3" total, and is covering three sides of the rock that it currently occupies.
60.00 takes it. Cash only, today preferred! :) I am off work in ten minutes.

actually, the part that is encrusting in my tank is really cool looking. I'll take a pic of both so you can see what they both look like. It's cool how different they look, I am assuming it's due to light exposure. The polyps are so bright it's very cool. I had no problem with the quality of the coral, I just had problems with how he processed the transaction. Also, I had to split the coral with Tony, and had expressed that to John in a manner over the phone that he knew without a doubt to give me two seperate frags. Instead, I got one. I had to frag a frag, and it was on a really dense rock, so it was near impossible. Give me a few, let the girlie get here and set the camera up for me and I will take a ton of pictures.

That's what the frag looks like but the encrusting part looks as blue as a bud light can. If someone is serious, they won't be disappointed. The entire other side is encrusted.

so when it encrusts it turns blue with red polyps, and after a while of being encrusted it turns like a burgundy color with red polyps?

i think because the base is supposed to stay blue even after encrusting and will retain the red polyps as well. the picture doesnt show a superman though, but looks like something else. maybe its just the picture?

no man, there are tons of things that affect the color of SPS. I can show anyone that is interested the parts that encrusted and they are BLUE. Blue like a Bud Light can. I have been growing this under 10k lighting, which that alone will affect the color. At one point the entire frag was blue, but it has changed back to mainly red again. You can't really force color down the throat of a frag, they all morph due to conditions in the tank.
