Some sort of Maast quirk?

Ok, so everytime I try to type the word s-p-i-k-e in a post, it comes out like this: ****e. Is this some kind of obscene language filter? I clearly remember George Carlin's skit about the 7 dirty words, but I don't remember ****e being one of them.

Just curious to see if any more experienced members can explain this to me. Thanks!

I'm guessing that that 4 letters are in a filter, and that it believes it's a racial slur?

i think it protects against anyone forgetting to type the "e" and spelling a racially charged word

No one here uses that slur, but we do use the word SP1KE from time to time. I for one vote to allow the word. I mean come on, it's a very common word for us.

The generic word filter supplied by VB is running so no slurs or vulgar words should get by. I modified it so spike is ok to say now.
