I just got a candycane to day and was woundering about the spreading/growing of the coral. what would be best to ensure either of the two outcomes.

good water + good light + good circulation + time = a possibility but doesn't ensure.:bigsmile: j/k mine grow best when they are not blasted by current but are moving a little bit because of it and when the light is not to intense (middle of the tank ish) then wait.

Although it's not really necessary, they'll grow faster if you feed them. They eat frozen mysis or brine shrimp, among other things. Feed when the tentacles are out, usually at night.
