What are the advantage and disadvantges of Regular and Course ARM Media. Any objective preferances. Thanks.

I'm no expert, but I thought the course media is less prone to "channeling" in your reactor than the regular size ARM.
Personally I've had probs w/the finer medias compacting on top and reducing the recirc. flow in my reactor.
I'm curious to see anyone else's thoughts on this.

Another user here proposed an idea to me the other day to resolve this issue. Put your media into a draw string filter bag, sinch it down tight and then zip tie it upside down to the bottom of you reactor intake pipe. This will allow reaction of media and prevent restricted flow, and realease of the media.

I like the coarse media much better. It doesn't turn to dust like the finer media does when it gets about halfway used. I also can keep the ph in the chamber a little lower with the coarse media without it turning to mush. this is good for me as I add some zeomag to the reactor and you need to keep the ph lower for it to dissolve.
