Can you post a picture so we can see what the problem is?

I think the problem is he has no sump but wants to add a hang on skimmer, he can't do it because of the eurobracing around the top of the tank,,,, DO NOT CUT THAT you will loose much of the tanks structural integrity.. Pictures would help us to come up with another way

HE has one of the Tenencor tanks with the built in filtration(kinda like the nano tanks). I have never seen a tenecor tank without some serious euro bracing.

He needs a simple sump then. That would probably be the only real option with a Tenecor.....

No, you don't need to drill your tank for a sump. An overflow box will work. Problem is that with your bracing, that will take some custom work.

Is the tank gl***** If so, you could probably mod a bakpak skimmer with some pipe & tubing to go into and out of the tank. Glue a strip of glass or acrylic on the bracing to hold it.

For a quick picture: Open the picture in "Paint". Resize it. Then save as a .jpg. You should be able to post a small photo directly on your response. Click on "Go Advanced" to imbed a photo in your post.

Since there isn't anything under there but rock and water I say yes. Just double check the height of the skimmer pump and make sure that it will sit under water and not suck air, so give yourself about 2" extra above the pump.
