Can you have Pacific Cleaner "Skunk" Shrimp and Blood Red Fire Shrimp in the same tank?

We are wanting to up our cleaning crew and our son LOVES shrimp...and they are more entertaining than crabs and snails...plus they offer cleaning services to the fish...

We like that they are different and both are vibrant...and the tank is very long with lots of room to hide and the one cleaner we have now stays in his spot except to go maybe a foot out at night to play.

TIA!

Yes they can be kept together. The fire shrimp is secretive and the cleaner is not so much. many times cleaners just perch and wait for an opportunity to eat. I would say as long as your tank is at least 30 gallon and established enough so that ate least the fireshrimp eats as well.....you can keep them together.

spiffy thanks! its a 125 with great rockwork from an established tank and small rocks from my old 20 and it was seeded and is doing well...

my cleaner shrimp molted the other day and is just so cute....his cave faces the front of the tank...so we get to see him all day...its pretty cool

I feed alternating frozen food daily for my yellow and hippo tang...so he eats well picking up what blows by..plus he roots around at night cleaning the rock work

we have a 1" neon goby that shares the "mountain" with him who maintains the other side

I had all three of the ones you just mentioned (neon goby, fire and cleaner shrimps) in a 135 and they were all just as happy as can be...

I keep 3 cleaner shrimp and 2 fire in a 29, and they get along well, I just fear losing my hand when I do anything in the tank.
