i was reading something about firefish yesterday and it was saying that some ppl say firefish will nip at corals and are a bit of butheads..ive alwase heard that they were good fishies? any of yall had these guys, i was really wanting to get one, but not if there coral nippa's

Mine never touched corals, nor did he go after my other fish. However, I've found that they prefer to be the only firefish in the tank... :)

Mine have never nipped at corals and have never bothered any of their tank mates.

mine has never nipped at corals or any other fish either, it likes to stay near its sleeping spot

My firefish has never been a problem... and the only problem Cory's ever had was when it got eaten... LOL

One more to say go for it. The wife has always made sure we had one and they have never messed with anything. The flicking of the spiike is pretty cool too!

My red firefish is well behaved and has lots of character...he's always posted up in the front middle of the tank. He use to hide a lot/was super shy and took about 2 months for him to adjust.

While nothing can eever be ruled out entirely in this hobby, I beleive it is safe to say that firefish do not bother coral. As many years as I have dealt with them, I have never heard of such a claim. I would question the source of your recent reading.
