I am glad you have added hermits top your selection.
Only reason I didnt order from you last time is I needed snails AND hermits.
You going to have scarlets also?

We may start carrying them. I would rather keep the crab count low, since we feel they aren't very effective members of a clean up crew because of the snail killing thing. In the long run we feel that they do more damage to the crew, and reduce its overall effectiveness. The hobby tanks we have that run with hermits and snails, don't do as well as the ones with just snails over time. However, we may expand that line because of customer demand. I will keep you all posted.

Interesting, tanks without crabs.
Maybe I will try it on the next tank I will be getting going in next month or so.
Will email at that time to see what reccomendations you have.
My other two tanks (214 & 34) both have various hemits.

Hey John,
I have a 20g, and I have recently had an outbreak of hair algae and bubble algae. Can you recommend a clean up crew?
TIA,
Sean

I really think the tanks without crabs are the best way to go. If you get yoour snails just as the cycle is finishing there is a great chance that you will never have any algae problems, (well as long as you keep their numbers up over the long run). There is nothing a crab can do, that a snail can't. Plus the snails won't trample your zoas. Unless it is bubble algae, then you may want emerald crabs. They are better than snails at getting those.

Which brings me to you cpreefguy. If you could can you please fill out the form here:
Custom Clean Up Crews (http://reefcleaners.org/index.php?option=com_philaform&Itemid=50&form_id=1)

This will help me get a better understanding of your tank. So I can reccomend a crew that fits your tank's particulars. In the comment section put down the problem you have with hair and bubble algae.

All the Best,
John Maloney
