I came home for lunch and saw a present at my door. It was the bit and bulkheads I ordered from diamondbitsUSA. Well lunch was on hold for awhile while I prepped the tank for drilling. I placed a bead of silicone around each hole I wanted, filled it with water and went to town. I punched out both holes in a few minutes and set the tank back on the stand, what a way to make use of my lunch break. I'll post pics when I get home later but it's super easy to drill your own tank.

I have done it as well (on a 29 gallon)....not that difficult to do......but don't think I trust myself to do a tank that runs a good deal of money...that's for sure....but congrats jtrux....how was it ordering through him? I know his prices are pretty good.

I placed my order last wednesday night and recieved the stuff today so not bad at all if you don't count the weekend. Total was 27 bucks for 1 bit and 2 bulkheads plus shipping. The bit was the 60mm one and the bulkheads are the 1.5 inch ones.

for future reference, get glass drilling lube stuff. if you only use water the bit won't last long at all.
