:Timeout: Reef safe?!? Are you sure? :sarcastic: I've never heard of a reef safe porcupine puffer.

But, then again, you never know.

not reef safe if it was i would have mine in my reef tank. tried by just putting some candy canes in there and he killed them. if yours is then you were lucky when you got him. good luck with sale

sometimes you luck out with fish like that, i've seen cases where the most unreef safe fish won't harm anything at all! some people are lucky! most aren't though...

I heard that if a puff is hungry or just bored that it would pick on corals. Because when i started out i want a porcupine puffer. But maybe it would work out if you got them younger.

I had a large puffer in my tank with my corals. Like any and all fish, they have different personalities/tempraments. I had a damsel that ate goniopora, which alot of people look at me crazy when I say that. It just depends on the fish.

I've heard many reports of tangs grazing though... typically if they get enough to eat they won't do it as much.

I had a blue tang that developed a taste for zoos. I would say that there are no rules when it comes to fish only guidelines.

I was wondering if you have any pictures of your puffer.
