i like having blue lighting but was thinking of going with a lower kelvin to help speed up the process of some frags i have.
what does a 10k XM DE lamp on an icecap ballast look like? is it yellow or crisp white?
also, anyone know how to look at the charts from sanjays website on ballasts and lamps? http://www.reeflightinginfo.arvixe.com/selectperformancedata.php
i see that the XM 10k on an icecap ballast produces 95 PPFD, what does that mean to me?

PPFD = Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density
???What does that mean exactly???
Is a higher number better?

thats what i was thinknig too, the higher the better, but i also saw something next to it that was like CTT or something. so far it looks like the 10k has a great amount of par for my ballast, but not sure how the color will look

I totally agree with dapettit. My personal favorite bulb is XM 400W 20000K. But, if I were to run the 10000K's I would have a good amount of actinics.
