Anyone using this product? I recently purchased it, and part 1 seems to turn into particles once the cloud dissipates. Is that bad? Should I be doing something different?

are you shaking it before pouring it in?

No that is expected. :) B-Ionic is a fantastic product. Once that first part dissipates and is no longer visible, is when you add part two.

Also, if you shake it, let it sit for about ten minutes. I shake my bottle everyday before I dose.

Why are you adding this product? Are you testing your Ca and Alk?

I was going to come back and comment on this. Jim is dead on! You may want to test for mg as well since they all work together.

I haven't tested recently, but I have had stightly low alk in the past. But I am doing the minimum dose for the tank size every other day. Prior to this I was dosing Kent pro DK buffer, and Kent Calcium. I ran out and I wanted to try something more complete. I am dosing part one across my spraybar return, and part 2 I dose in the overflow.

I use B-ionic 2 part everyday in my tank. It's a little tricky at first if you don't have decent test kits to tell how much alk and ca your tank is using. Your Mg is probably a little low and that is why you are getting the little white paticles. Atleast that is the case in my tank. I see the little white "snowflakes" (that's what my wife calls them) after I dose for alk. if my Mg level is low. For instance, if I see the "snowflakes" and test for Mg it's usually in the 1000 to 1100ppm range. After I raise the Mg levels back up to 1300 to 1400ppm, no more "snowflakes".
