Has any one ever used or seen "22 K MEGACHROME 400 Watt " bulbs in action. Are they good bulbs? Zee Germans makes zem which goes a long way in my book because I have yet to see anything in our hobby that they don't make well. Let me know what 400watt Mogul bulbs you guys would use.

Hmmm, never scene them, but like you said the Germans know there stuff. Heres a link i found. It says to use another bulb with the 22k because its not good for growth only color basically. With that said the 250w DE 14500k has my attention, but they are a bit pricey

3000 hrs of good output light comes to 375 days running them 8 hours that is. Not bad.

I just want to use 1 for atinic supplimentation incase the VHO's won't fit under my canopy. 1 MH bulb versus 4 VHO bulbs is how I see it.

Do you plan on using this in conjunction with my set up you bought? If so, I would wait until you see these 12k's in action.

You got it. But thats a little in the future. I was just wondering. Yeah, I've seen ReefLux's in action and they do look great.

I have to say, I REALLY like the Helios 20Ks. I don't run the VHOs with them either. And, as folks who have seen the tank will attest, growth has been good. Color is stunning.

Yeah, I was all over those pictures when they came out. Real nice. But most of our tanks are so bight that you have to turn down some settings to take good pictures. I've seen Ace's tank and it's much more beautiful & brighter when you're right in front of it.
