You mean the white, plastic grid like you see under ceiling light fixtures? If so, they carry it at home depot/Lowe's in the lighting department.

that's like rigid PVC though... I use "plastic needlework canvas" you can get in the yarn area at hobby lobby or michaels. it's like 1.29 for a 12x18 sheet. works like a charm. It looks like this:

i think the holes on these are too small, that's mean you have to clean them very often or else they will get clog up.

Go buy some fruit. The bags that you buy them in are that same type of mesh.

OH, I forgot. If you want smelly breath, you could opt for the onion bag! :) I can find produce mesh bags online, but cant find anything on homedepot.com

usually there's nothing flowing through it when you are covering overflow boxes, so it's not really an issue since the water's going through the teeth of the surface skimmer, not up over and into the box

I have one of those calflo box (42" long) that ACE built. It sits about 1/8" under water.

you can get a guttering cover of plastic mesh as well about 3 bucks a roll ive used that before... a lot of people use the needlework grid and its very successful though

Giau, is it the kind without teeth? If so maybe you could just cover the inlets inside the calfo?

I went the produce isle way put after looking at some of the pastic coverings and being able to match the color with my tank I may redue this!
