Giau,
I take mine to a company (can't remember the name) that's at I-10 and Culebra. For you, exit at Culebra (upper level) and turn right. The company is IMMEDIATELY to your left, in the big grey metal building.
They fill your tank and hand it right back to you, no exchanging your nice tank for something that looks dangerously old and grubby.

try praxair. or natwel it's at culebra and i 10, but the guy there is a complete tool. i went in there on halloween to get my cylinder refilled for my kegs, got the bottle filled go to pay and his credit card machine is down. he says you can't leave without paying. i say i've got 9.75 in cash. (the air cost 12 something). i say hey look it's not my fault your machine is down, and it's too far to get to my bank before they close (only had 18.35 in mt acct, so no atm's). "i'm trying to be nice and give you what i got so you don't lose all your cash", he says no that's not good enough and tries to tell me i can't leave with my cylinder and i can come back tomorrow to get it. i said look i'm not leaving without it, but i'll give you what i got and i'll mail it to you later. he says no screw you and has his workers empty the tank before i could leave. so he lost on all fronts. and there was still enough CO2 to float my kegs, but only because i talked the worker into not completely emptying it. total victory for me.

Little off topic but I love the story. You are a true optimist with a great attitude. All the stress involved to go through all that to walk away with an almost empty tank and call it a victory......thats great.

Praxair's the best and you can get a 20lb bottle refilled for around $30. Make sure you call ahead if you haven't been there in a while. The moved a few months ago and are now off ih35 and 410 near the big red bottling plant.

Here's another reason to use Praxair. Unlike the guy at natwel, the guys at Praxair go out of their way to help out. I recently went there w/my 10lb CO2 bottle after work and got there around 5pm. The guy behind counter said their refill guy had already gone home. I explained that it would be extremely difficult for me to come back the next day. He went back to the warehouse to see if there was a full bottle. He came back and explained that he only had 20lb bottle available. He upgraded my bottle to the larger 20lb for no extra charge and only charged me for the 10lb refill. Doesn't happen often enough, but I love great customer service!

I like A-1 Fire and Safety. It's off of Sandau, close to where Aquatic Warehouse used to be. Pretty cheap, I think 12 bucks or so for 10# tank refill.

Ace sent me to Praxair at 10750 Iota - at Wurzbach Pkwy and Nacogoches.

FWIW - they only do CO2 in the am - or at least prefer to.

They've moved from that location. Found out after I got there and didn't see a sign. Call ahead to get directions to their new location by the Big Red bottling plant.

I tried to call Praxair by 410&35 for 2 days but nobody pick up the phone , so i end up here, AOC welding supply on 822 SBC Center Parkway (by ATT center) #210-229-9431.They charged $9.90 for 10lbs tank. It is one for one swap,if you want to keep your own tank then you have to wait for 2 hrs, (safety reasons)..There is another AOC on Nogalitos too.

hmmm 2 hours? When I got mine filled at A1, I walked out within 2 minutes of filling my own tank. The bottle is a little cold to the touch but was fine.

They said, it is company policy for your safety . I guess some people have problems before,.they make you wait for 2 hrs, so the contents in the bottle can settle down and doing leaks check at the same time.

Does anyone know there are any locations off of IH-10 West north of 410, with medical/beverage grade?
