I have an older digital camera. It's a Nikon Coolpix 4300. I am wanting to upgrade to something newer and nicer here in the next few months. I have seen many great pictures in this forum and was wondering if anyone had some camera recommendations for me? I realize it will cost a bit for a nice camera and I am willing to spend a good chunk, however, nothing outrageous plz! :P

Thx Rick

Nah, Im saving up for one of my own :)

Either one that Anthony suggested would be a great choice. Here is a great website where you can read reviews from Editors, as well as consumers:

Ok, so my wife and I went to the BX on base so I figured I would take a look, and they had a little bit different cameras then the 2 suggested by apedroza. They had a Nikon DX40, a Nikon DX40X, and a Canon Rebel Digital XT. How much difference is there in the DX40 and DX40X besides the megapixels (DX has 6.1 I believe and DX40X has 10.2) and the difference in the Canon XT and XTI?
