Hello everyone,
I've been shopping around for another aquarium. Was wondering your opinion on height 29" versus 24"? Which do you like better and why if possible. Your answers will help me solidify a decision i've been trying to make for months now.
Thank you,

29" will give you more height for aquascaping (if you want to go with pillars or collum style). the 24" allow you to reach the bottom of the tank better (i dont know how tall are you), but for me been 5'6" the 24 works better for me.

I have a 30" deep hex and my next tank will be wider instead of taller. I would go with the 24" it will be alot easy to reach things.

24. It is a lot easier to reach things and easier to get light to the bottom. (even though at a startling 5ft tall 24 is still a reach for me...lol)

The idea of me being at a staggering height of 5'5" bothers me on a 29" not being able to reach the bottom without the help of some grabber extension poles or a buddy of mine that's 6'7" but hes not always around and someone suggested that a 29" with a 5"-6" DSB will make it a 24". The way its looking is a 24" definately but the DSB idea has sparked new interest so here comes the question to DSB or not?

I used to use the grabber to grab stuff but sometimes things would sliped out (like a rock) and hit the glass (my heart skiped a beat when that happen), but you can't do anything about it , just watch and hope it wont crack the tank. That is why i took my canopy off completely to give me me access and control , when i want to move something. You can use a 24 and a DSB in your sump/fuge..

I'll second what the others have mentioned. I like the 24inch better than the 29inch for height. I'd rather have more room front to back than from top to bottom. That give more room to aquascape, more surface area for gas exchange, and more room for the fish to swim around instead of just up and down.
