I had a very unpleasant experience with him, although others have had good experiences. Make sure your order is perfect, if not you may get charged double.

I have, the order was good (he usually sends a few freebies also), but you will need heavy actinic to get the same colors. Frags are also bigger then you order.

Hmmmmmm....The dude is marking everything Sold Out, and putting it on Ebay. So I win this Ebay auction and he won't talk to me on the phone and he wants a money order.
This guy sounds like he is way over booked and kind of iffy on his stock. I would never send a money order to "some dude" in California. This guy just seems to get shadier and shadier...Anyone else??

I was the one who recently headed up a group order from this site. You can ask stoneroller, biocube 14 and bexarhunt how they liked their frags, but I don't think any of us was overly impressed with what we got. Like was already stated, color is not going to be nearly as vibrant as what is in the pictures, but there were more issues than that. I don't believe that one of the frags he sent is really what I ordered, there were issues with him not splitting the frags as requested, and some of my zoas never have opened up for me.

I learned my lesson from this and realize that the zoas I have been able to buy off of fellow MAAST members (including you!) have been way, way more healthy and vibrant than the ones I got from him online AND of course, much less $$$.

I put in an order thru Kristy. Of the 4/5 I got, only one opened up. The color ended up being like one I already had instead of what I had ordered and as it was labelled. Not too happy with the order and good to hear Kristy feels same and it isn't just me.

Not just you, I ordered Jupiter Dusts which are supposed to be purple centers with yellow skirts. Obviously, some heavy P'shopping going on because they look like sick Radioactive Dragon Eyes.

wow, I was really happy with what I got from John, and had no complaints... I'm sorry to hear y'all have recently had problems; I might think twice about making another order. I will say though, that I got exactly what I was expecting but almost double polyp count... wierd

I have ordered from John also. I think I ordered about 10-13 diffrent ones. The ones that did not cost alot lived, and there was more than expected. But the ones that I paid 30.00-50.00 for 1-3 polys all died. When I contacted him, he was really good about sending new ones. I did state to him that I don't want babys I want adults, and I was sent babies again. And of course they died. At that time I just didn't want to deal with it again. I was also sent one that I did not order, in place of one that I did???? (he gave me the wrong one) The zoas were nothing like the pics.

Yup....that about sums it up.....I am having the "mikedelgado" experience....I dunno why I get so excited about fancy SLR/photoshop pictures online....If you took a really awesome macro pic. of Briopsis, I would probably buy it *laugh....when I really ought to be buying up some really cool stuff from people like Mike Delgado and MissT....(PM me *wink wink)

Kristy, to followup on the Jupiter Dusts. I gave the frag a chance to color up and then I told John that the frag he sent me doesn't look anything like the photos. He said that he must have sent us the wrong frags and he refunded my money.

Well, I'm glad that at least you got your $$$ back. I came across a small frag from that order the other day that I had stuck in an out of the way spot in my tank and it had finally opened for the first time after all these weeks. The zoas are burgundy in color and I guess with some crazy photoshopping enhancement they could have been construed as a distant cousin to the purple Jupiter Dusts advertised. But don't worry, you didn't miss out on anything special! I'll try to send you a photo some time.

There are awesome polyps out there,..this guy doesn't have em though. Gave me a full refund too. At least he's not a complete @$&%.
