My pump is out I think it was a sedra 5000. My question is if i go to a 9000 would that be to much pump for my skimmer? It is the one rated for 75-100 gallons I believe. I hade it for 2 years so i dont remember. excuse any spelling errors. Glad I put it in my signature CS 1-5
Thanks, Rob

I would not get the bigger pump. Why? I think you should get the regular pump because if you don't, you run the risk of having wayyy too many bubbles escaping from the chamber, and into the outlet of the skimmer.

How is the pump "out"? Most of these mag/impeller pumps can run for years. Is it maybe just the impeller or a short in the pump?

yeah, I thought you could upgrade those Sedras on the ASM skimmers but for some reason on the Euros it isn't recommended.
Maybe it was just the model Euro I have, no sure but I think I have a Sedra 9000 in the garage I have been meaning to sell. Will have to look if ya need one.

That's their site, you may want to contact them first. They make EHEIM pumps that work with the Euros andd they are much quieter. I have the RS-135 and it uses the sedra 9k and it is LOUD, so it only runs at night after I am asleep.
