My angelfish isn't doing so well it looks like he has a whitish see through film on him. What could this be? I'm trying to get a pic of him but he's too fast. He's still super active and eating like a cow. I started treating with melifix and since the start of that the white stuff looks like hair in some areas. I'm thinking fungus maybe I already did a pimafix treatment a week ago hoping that would help but it didn't seem to do anything. I've also started using garlic with every feeding. Any help of thoughts would be great.

1st I would stop putting all that ........ uhh stuff in my tank then start testing the water to find out what is wrong.

How's your water quality? Most problems can be directly related to that. Also, if your salinity is high, it could only complicate the issue.

"fine" is a relative thing... If you want help around here, it helps to specifically note your testing results. As Erik pointed out, salinity is also a big deal, ALONG WITH YOUR METHOD of testing salinity...

If it is feed him well and it will get better with great water quality and good food. Usually comes from injury or fin damage in the shipping.

no thats not it. it's more of a soft white film on his body. It doesn't look like cotton balls.

I had this same thing (or at least what I can imagine would be the same thing since I have not seen it my self) on a clown, I soaked my food in melafix and it went away in abut a week. good luck!

Sounds like brooklynella. Usually called Clownfish disease since it is most common on them but it can affect any type of fish.
