I think I'm going from a 46 bow to a 40 breeder. My girlfriend got me a mh fixture for my b day that hangs over the front of the bow that would fit the 40 breeder perfectly. Since I have a untouched tank to work with does anyone have and suggestions since the stand is really big compared to the zero space of the 46 bow on what I should do.

do you have space for the 40g? if you do and your just wondering what you should do with all the space under the stand, i would drill the 40g and place a 30g long in the stand. put a skimmer in the 30g (sump) and plumb it. then put a light over the sump and stuff it with live rock and place some of the filtering algae between the rocks. then in the breeder put a 4-5 inch sand bed...the good sand, some more live rock, put all lights...(with good bulbs) on timers and your garden will grow.

just make sure glass is not tempered
