3M Colorquartz Suppliers?

Anyone know where to get this stuff in Texas? I tried the 3M site but the one company there in SA only sells wholesale. I am really just looking for black sand and don't want to pay the over-bloated prices that CaribSea charges for the stuff. I am open to other suggestions if you have any.

IMO it is not worth the shipping charges. The place in SA will sell depending on who you get on the phone, and the price depends on who is there when you are there. check out Cichlid-forum.com and there is a giant post about where to get color quartz all over the country, however shipping for a 50 lb bag is not cheap so i would try SA again.

Everyone on that site recommends that you call 3M to find a local distributor. a 50lb bag should run between 18-22 dollars. That even got me interested. :)

Cichlid forum is where I originally learned of the stuff. I have talked to 3M already but their distibutors are simply not much help at all. I've put a call in the place in Dallas, I'll let you know what they say.
