I have been givin a D.A.S. tank. This is a used tank with the built in filter system removed. As i was doing a leak test in the garage it started to leak. This is a hex tank app. 280 gallsons; with the back glass 95" and the front glass is 84". There are two pannels of glass, on the front side, angled at 45 degree angles meeting the side pannels. The seam that gave way to the pressure is one of the angled glass seams.
I am in the process of cleaning the old silicone out. I figured there would be a problem with the new silicone sticking to the old stuff. My question is if it would be in my best interest to go ahead and reseal all of the seams?
If anyone has any suggestions about this matter I would greatly appreciate it.
Also, if anyone has any suggestions about some external pumps, quiet ones, I am looking at those as well.
Thanks, Chad
