It sucks i've gone through 4 of these fish. the first one was purple and was okay in the tank for 6 months at least and was eating then the next two purple didn't last more than two months each. i recently found the blue jaw that was bought two weeks ago dried up on the floor. does anyone have any advice?

Most Tilefish are considered very delicate with rating of 2 out of 5, with 5 being very hardy and 2 being that most will die from starvation. The trick is getting one to eat. They will likely need to have live foods to start. They like don't like a crowded tank and need at least a 100g tank. They acclimate better in groups of 2 or 3, but they need to be added at the same time or they will most likely nip at each other. They are known to be jumpers, even more so than wrasses, jawfish, and dart fish. With that being said you will need a covering of some sort. The Golden & the Fourmanoir's Tilefish are the hardiest, but they are also the most aggressive toward each other and other zooplankton feeders. The Fourmanoirs have been observed to bite and kill Elegance Corals.

Rating from -1 almost impossible -2 most don’t acclimate -3 moderately hardy -4 generally hardy -5 very hardy

Green Tilefish - 2
Stocky Tilefish - 2
Blue Head Tilefish - 2
Purple Tilefish - 2
Redstripe Skunk Tilefish - 2
Flashing Tilefish - 2
Golden Tilefish - 3
Fourmanoirs Tilefish - 3

well my tank is a 215g so there is plenty of room the most agressive fish in the tank are a couple of pgmy angels that only fight with each other and a purple tang. as for the covering the tank is pretty well covered except for small portions for feeding.
