apparently there is a way to buff them out with a kit, but the scratches have to me surface only. If you run your fingernail through it and it catches its to deep to buff out.

Im probably going to try it because I recently scratched my tank when moving it somehow. The front panel, exterior. No clue how I scratched it.

Thats news to me. I didn't think you could remove scratches on glass.

Can't remove the scratch by buffing it out but you can remove the scratch by filliing it in then buffing to make the fillin smooth.

That is correct. Just like when a glass auto place fills in a chip and it looks like it was never there.
