We recently lost a cool diamond goby out of our topless 20g hex nano. Anyone know why some fish are jumpers and others aren't?
Anyone else had any fishy suicides? What kinds of fish are more inclined to take the plunge up?
We are thinking about a sixline wrasse for the nano, does anyone know if they have any aerial habits?
Any suggestions of other good non-jumping fish for the nano. Anything else that sifts the sand like our ex-goby?We currently have a small neon goby, pajama cardinal, and a small lantern basslet.
Thanks,
Mike (& Kristy)

Why can't I get that lucky? Because of mine I've lost several fish.
I had a lawnmower blenny jump up on the center brace and cook. I don't think it was suicide in this case, I think my hawkfish chased it out. Darting to outrun a predator is 1 reason. Others like some wrasses tend to dive, into the sand.

oh, and I just bought 6-line last week and he is awesome! The first day the killer hawk chased it into the overflow twice, but it has since been ok and swimming all over lovin life - as long as he can avoud the wrath.

I have had three take the leap of faith in my experience.
1. Bartlett Anthia (the larger prettier one, man that was upsetting)
2. Long nose Hawkfish (I loved that little guy)
3. Jawfish (but that was more of a Kavorkean assissted suicide -- I moved a rock it was under and woosh out the other side and out of the tank...found it 2 days later)

I lost my 6line wrasse due to it jumping out. Funny thing was I found in on the floor on the front side of my tank....which was completely covered up by my canopy.....not sure how it got there!
