some opinions?

a few of you may have been keeping up with my first tanks progress for the first 8 months and ive got news for those who do.

Today i got a paycheck that was ALOT larger than i was expecting and decided to celebrate by upgrading from my 20g to a 55g! Only problem is i was stupid and dident think ahead and only got the tank.In my 20g i have 15lbs of gravel about 10lbs of live sand from another aquarium.ive got about 20lbs of live rock thats been in my tank the whole 8 months and another 40 lbs of fiji rock ive had curing for a while.I have a waterfall filter that was taken off a 50g that i was using on my 20g and im tranfering it to the 50g.i also have a 9watt (i think not too sure) UV steralizer with a maxi-jet400 pushing water through it.In terms of lighting all i have is 1 65watt power compact bulb.

what do you guys think i should buy/upgrade?i know i need new lighting and maybe more sand but any other ideas?

Protein skimmer, a refugium, ditch the gravel and add more sand, more flow, take any filters out of the waterfall that may be in there.......

Your live rock and protein skimmer will work as your filter along with the refugium.

Yup

The 'filterless' waterfall filter would just be for circulation and oxygen exchange. It can also act as a 'mini' refugium. More likely to help grow pods.

ill keep it running then with the pads in untill i get a skimmer and fudge

where in san antonio can i get them fairly good priced?and about how muc would you estimate them both to cost me?

also one other question what kind of light do you think i should get? i have my LTA in a friends quarium becuase my old 20g's lights arent good enough for the new 55g
